Erica is a designer and creative lead specializing in visual storytelling and brand design. Currently working as a principal designer at Monks.
Portfolio Strategy at Monks
I have been supporting the growth team through impactful, solution-branded content and visuals. With a solutions-focused approach, I’ve been managing and expanding our Technology Services content libraries to deliver current, high-quality resources to teams, resulting in faster project delivery and improved output quality. In addition, I developed proposal designs and templates to streamline proposal efficiency during presales meetings. I have also designed UI/UX mockups for demos and prototypes, enhancing client understanding and enabling more effective presentations.
Monks Technology Services Branding
The evolution of Technology Services marked a natural progression, establishing Monks' two core offerings: Marketing and Technology. Our approach to Technology Services is crafted to complement our Marketing Services assets while maintaining a distinct identity for its own products and solutions. The visual language embraces a tech-forward, modern, and cohesive design aesthetic. I led the integration from Formula.Monks to Technology Services, overseeing creative direction and implementation to ensure design consistency and alignment across all departments.
Formula.Monks Branding
Monks acquired TheoremOne, which led to the creation of the technology division, Formula.Monks. As part of a cross-functional team of design leaders, I had the opportunity to work on the logo and brand system. My responsibilities included creative direction, strategy, visual identity, illustration, and storyboarding. I’m continually evolving Formula.Monks branding as the technology pillar evolves within Monks.
Formula.Monks Expression
Formula.Monk's visual identity incorporates geometric shapes and linear elements that symbolize mathematical concepts typically found in software engineering. I was responsible for designing the storyboard illustrations and the creative direction of the video to capture the dynamic energy of the three main services - consulting, product delivery, and workforce acceleration.
TheoremOne Branding
TheoremOne rebranded to establish itself as an innovative tech consultancy. I worked on the core team, redesigning and maintaining various aspects of the new brand identity. I thoughtfully worked on anything brand-facing, including design strategy, visual identity, art direction, illustration, marketing materials, and web design. I continued growing our brand and brand team until our merger.
The Breakthrough Podcast
The Breakthrough Podcast with Alison Dean is dedicated to discussing the essence of being a leader in tech. I had the privilege of designing the entire brand identity, including web design, social graphics, and the title sequence featured in the interview videos. The artwork is conveyed through multiple layers, vivid colors, and visual coding. The brand exudes a feminine touch and a sense of exploration through all its aspects.
The Journal
The TheoremOne Journal bridges the gap between current and relevant conversations with industry leaders and the Theorists behind it. The visual style of our articles, newsletters, and podcasts should reflect that of our journal. As the lead designer, I worked closely with the marketing team to identify the strategy, visual identity, art direction, and user experience of the updated Journal.
TheoremOne Libraries
At TheoremOne, I worked closely with stakeholders to establish templates and graphics for presentations that aligned with the redesign. The result was a library of core assets, including branded charts, slide layouts, typography, and an icon library for all team members to use across internal and external communications.
Assorted & Disordered
I have created numerous works throughout my career that I am incredibly proud of. Here is a disorganized collection of designs and illustrations I made for various clients and projects.
